U.S. News and World Report, Futurist, The Economist, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics are among the many forecasters who project that 50% of jobs will be lost in the next 20 years to robotics and artificial intelligence. According to Lane and many others, vastly improved and improving efficiencies are ultimately to blame for those projected job losses and for the USA’s tepid recovery post 2008. Lane argues that entrepreneurial innovation is the primary solution to this problem.
